I am an abstract artist, passionate about transforming emotions and ideas into visual stories. My work blends vibrant colours and intricate textures to explore the intangible, inviting viewers to interpret and connect with their own experiences. Inspired by the interplay of light, shadow, and raw emotion, I strive to push the boundaries of abstract expression. Through my art, I thus aim to create spaces for reflection, imagination, and dialogue. Each canvas I paint is a journey, a discovery, and a celebration of the limitless beauty of creativity.
I am an independent artist, based in Kolkata, India. I received my undergraduate degree in visual arts from the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath in Bangalore, southern India, in March 2020, and my postgraduate advanced diploma in painting from Kala Bhavana, Visva Bharati in Shantiniketan, eastern India, in June 2022. During this time, I developed an independent style of abstract art, which speaks directly to the viewer. I specialise in pen and ink, graphite, acrylic and oil, but also experiment with ceramics, embroidery, paper making and printing, and other novel mixed media on paper or canvas. More recently, I have thematically explored gendered expressions, sensitivities and relations, as well as human–nonhuman transitions and metamorphoses. I have also drawn inspiration from lowbrow art, with my work often evoking thoughts of being weird, bizarre or nonsensical, but gradually revealing their inner meaningful sensitivities to my audience.
